Self build in Cornwall

Planning permission was granted in 2018, and detailed construction drawings were prepared for building regulation approval for this self build in Cornwall

The client approached Lacaze Architecture with a vision of embarking on a self build in Cornwall project, seeking architectural advice regarding the feasibility of obtaining planning permission on their site post-demolition of a dilapidated structure. Our collaboration resulted in the design of a detached four-bedroom contemporary family home, tailored to meet the client’s needs and aspirations.

Key Features:

  • Spacious Layout: The self build offers a thoughtfully designed layout, including a large kitchen and dining area, a downstairs WC, a utility area, and a living room with French doors that seamlessly connect the interior with the garden, creating an inviting indoor-outdoor flow.
  • Luxurious Amenities: Upstairs, the main bedroom features a walk-in dressing area and a luxury en-suite, providing comfort and style for the homeowners.
  • Budget Considerations: Budget was a careful consideration for the client so it was important to consider this during the construction phase. without compromising on quality or design integrity.
