HELLO. I’m Natalie, and I founded Lacaze Architecture in 2017 to offer a more direct and personal approach to architectural services in Cornwall. I focus on purposeful architectural design – combining your ideas with the technical reality of how a building actually goes together, without over-complicating the process.
As a one-woman practice, you deal only with me. You have a consistent, professional point of contact and my CIAT-chartered expertise from the initial sketch, through to the building Regulations and the technical detailing that makes your project a reality. Whether we are unlocking a loft’s potential on a modest budget or designing a high-value extension, my goal is to provide comprehensive architectural services with a straightforward process that puts your vision and the buildability of the project first.
I work on a broad range of residential projects across Cornwall and the South West, helping homeowners across the county navigate the planning and construction process to create spaces that are practical, functional, and tailored to how you live.
It starts with a chat and coffee (mine’s black, no sugar, thanks!) to understand your vision and budget. I’ll review the site constraints to see what’s possible before carrying out a measured survey – ensuring we have accurate 2D plans and 3D models to build your ideas upon.
This is the core design phase where we collaborate to tailor the project to your lifestyle, using 3D models so you can truly visualise the space. Once we have finalised the design, I manage and submit the planning application on your behalf. On average, this takes 8–10 weeks to receive approval.
This stage ensures your build is safe, energy-efficient, and structurally sound. I produce the detailed technical drawings required for Building Control and coordinate closely with trusted structural engineers to ensure your project is fully compliant and construction-ready.
Project needs vary, so my support here is flexible. Whether you require a full tender package to get accurate quotes, help comparing builders, or onsite project management, I can tailor my involvement to provide as much or as little assistance as you need to bring your project to completion.
